About Gakkin
Gakkin began tattooing in 1998 and previously worked at Harizanmai studio in Kyoto, Japan, before relocating to Amsterdam with his family in 2016. He is a freehand artist who works primarily in blackwork and grayscale, blending Japanese traditional motifs with graphic and abstract elements. He has been profiled by The Japan Times and Vice and is the father of Noko, who attracted international press as a child tattoo artist.
