About Hongdam
Ilwol Hongdam runs Hongdam Studio in Seoul and is one of South Korea's most internationally recognised tattoo artists. His work is rooted in traditional Korean ink-wash aesthetics, prioritising the beauty of negative space, with subjects ranging from feathery florals and animals to scenes from the Joseon Dynasty. He has tattooed clients in Shanghai, Hong Kong, New York and Paris through guest spots and operates additional accounts under @hongdamstudio and @hongdamspace.
