About Chaim Machlev
Chaim Machlev is an Israeli-born tattoo artist who left an IT career and moved to Berlin in 2012 to apprentice as a tattooer. He founded the private one-client-per-day studio DotsToLines in Berlin's Kreuzberg district in 2013, focusing on large-scale geometric linework that flows with the body. In 2013 he won the TätowierMagazin Nachwuchscontest (newcomer award) and his work has been featured in GQ and exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome and the Eretz Israel Museum. He has since expanded with a second private studio in Los Angeles while maintaining the Berlin atelier.
