About Paul Booth
Paul Booth is an American tattoo artist, painter, sculptor and filmmaker based in the New York metropolitan area, renowned for intricate black-and-grey surrealist tattoos featuring demons, monsters and macabre themes. He opened Last Rites Tattoo Theatre on Manhattan's Lower East Side in 1998, later moving the studio to Hell's Kitchen and then to 325 West 38th Street in the Garment District. The Manhattan studio closed in May 2020 due to COVID-19 economic pressures, after which Booth continued tattooing by appointment from a private studio in New Jersey. He also runs Last Rites Gallery, founded in 2008.
