Hand-poke (Stick-and-poke)
A method of tattooing that uses a single needle applied by hand, without a tattoo machine. The needle is dipped in ink and pressed into the skin with controlled hand pressure.
In detail
Hand-poke produces a softer, slightly more organic look than machine work. It is associated with dotwork and fine line styles and has deep roots in traditional tattooing worldwide. Sessions are quieter and often described as less intense, though they take longer.
