About Filip Leu
Filip Leu was born in 1967 in Paris, the son of travelling artists Felix and Loretta Leu, and started tattooing around age eleven. He trained with Horiyoshi III in Tokyo, worked alongside Ed Hardy at Realistic Tattoo in San Francisco, and learned tattoo machine building from Paul Rogers. Together with his family, he founded The Leu Family's Family Iron studio (operating since 1978), today located in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland (originally associated with Lausanne).
