TatScout Publishes First Open Tattoo Price Index

Free dataset covers median prices across 6 cities, 6 styles, and 4 size tiers, the first open benchmark for tattoo pricing.

Amsterdam - 14 May 2026

TatScout, the verified tattoo artist and studio discovery platform, today published the TatScout Tattoo Price Index 2026, the first openly available price benchmark for the tattoo industry.

The dataset covers 144 price data points across six cities (Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles), six tattoo styles, and four size tiers. It is freely available for download and use with attribution.

Key findings

  • A medium-sized fine-line tattoo ranges from €200 in Berlin to €620 in London, a 3× difference within Western Europe alone.
  • Realism commands a 25-40% premium over other styles at every size tier.
  • A full sleeve in Realism in New York averages €4,200 at the top end.
  • Berlin offers the lowest entry prices in the dataset; London the highest.

About the dataset

Prices were collected in Q1 2026 via direct artist surveys, publicly listed rate cards, and community price data. All figures are median prices in EUR, using 90-day average exchange rates. The full methodology is published at tatscout.com/data/methodology.

The dataset is available for free at tatscout.com/data/tattoo-price-index-2026, including interactive charts and CSV download.
